Privacy Policy & YouTube API Services Compliance

Last updated: November 7, 2026

ScaleWithMotion integrates with the official YouTube Data API v3 and strictly complies with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.

1. YouTube Data API v3 Usage

Our platform uses the YouTube Data API to retrieve public video metadata, channel details, and view counts for tracked videos commissioned by our production clients. By using our website or commissioning our services, you acknowledge and agree that your interaction with YouTube features is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.

2. Content Owner Data Segregation

In strict adherence to YouTube Developer Policies regarding data aggregation, ScaleWithMotion maintains distinct content owner boundaries. We do not merge, combine, or cross-calculate performance metrics between unrelated channels or content owners.

3. Data Retention & Snapshots

Cached statistics retrieved via the YouTube Data API are retained for a maximum permitted period of 30 days unless explicitly authorised by the content owner through direct OAuth integration. Expired snapshots are automatically purged via scheduled maintenance tasks.

4. Project Enquiries & Information Security

Information submitted through our project enquiry form (including contact names, emails, and channel URLs) is used exclusively by ScaleWithMotion directors to evaluate client fit and respond to briefs. We do not sell or lease client contact information to any external parties.

5. Revocation of Access

Users who connect via Google OAuth may revoke access at any time through the Google Security settings page.
